Good service, worst food, too pricy. I took my family to Temptations. Food was not so great, but service was good. Also i felt the price is too much for the quality of the food.

Nice change in the Valley !!. Visited 1st time recently based on some peer/friend reviews. Temptations is a welcome change in the otherwise **BORE & BLAND** indian restaurants scene. The place is a nice hotspot in the middle of Castro st. The food is a little above average, not bad but not out of the world either. But the service is impeccable, I don't recall experiencing service like this in a long long time. I also saw lot of families with small kids and I could see they felt welcome too..

We took a middlepath approach and ordered a few indo-chinese entrees and a few traditional fares. The indo-chinese bhel was a bit too sweet but nice try. Gobi Manchurian was ok...the gravy seems to lack the punch..maybe try the drier version. Malai Panneer was very nice. The indo-chinese dishes...chilli and tofu were very good. Naan and rice were decent.

best Indian Chinese and Indian food in the bay area. I've been to this place a couple of times and simply loved it. I went when it first opened and was really impressed with the attentive service and quality of food. I was even more impressed when I went back after a few months and found the same high standards in place.

Onto the food, I think they really do use good ingredients - especially compared to the other Indian restaurants who seem to use the same spices for every dish. And contrary to the previous review, you don't have to be Indian to enjoy the taste - just need to have an open mind and empty stomach :-) I liked thier desserts the best.

This is a well thought out and carefully managed venture and I would happily pay the little extra and go back there!!

Attentitive service, Consistently good food, Relaxing Decor. I have been to this place three times in as many months. My first time there I had randomly walked in, looking for something new to try on Castro. The food has been consistently good. Waiters were very attentitive. Water glass was kept full.

What appealed to me was that the spiciness of food was not overdone, letting the more subtle flavors to come out. I have regularly eaten "Indian-Chinese" growing up and would rank the food high in authenticity of taste. I liked the Chopsuey and Manchurian Chicken best.

Good Indo-Chinese food.... only ine in bay area. I have been to their restaurant a couple of times. They were crowded both the times.

Food: Great. If you are from India , and like the Chinese food available there , you will definitely like this ( Others will find the food Spicy)

Service: Average. I do not enjoy the service at this place.

Price: Slightly high for their service/interior etc.
