Piatti is excellent for lunch. Superb wood-fired bread. Piatti is a consistently-good dining experience - especially at lunch. Even the most basic items, like Caesar salad or eggplant parmigiana, are executed well. The service is excellent. The wood oven-baked bread with flavored olive-oil is superb. If the weather is decent, enjoy the outdoor seating area.

Food=Fresh!. Ive been to Piatti a few times with my co-worker and never am I disappointed. Its busier during the weekdays/nights and slower on the weekend where they are only open for dinner, because of what my server told me, because it is in an industrial area. However, service is prompt and friendly. They start off by greeting you with a bottled Piatti water, free of charge, and then after they bring over the great bread of theirs with their DELICIOUS oil dipping sauce! I had the Ravioli and my friend had the Lamb. I must say, everything was top notch. We paired with with great Italian wines that our server helped us with. For desert, I had the Pana Cotta and my friend had the Tiramisu. Their deserts are the perfect touch for ending your meal. I must say, the chef does a great job with the menu and the food itself! Thanks to this restaurant, I will be here regularly!

Great pastas. I've been here a bunch of times for lunch with my co-workers and thought I'd give it a try on the weekend with the wife. It's not super fancy but it's warm, and feels good. We started with a great chianti and fried artichokes, and were very pleased with their fresh ravioli. We split their version of warm chocolate cake for dessert and walked away feeling like we had just been to a great spot in Italy.

romatic restaurant with good food. This restaurant looks very nice and has wonderful choices on the menu. They serve this great dipping garlic sauce for their baked bread - free of charge, and I certainly think it's woth coming here just to try how good it is! Their service wasn't great, they were quite busy during the time we came - Saturday evening. I would recommend getting reservations if you're planning to come on a busy night. Their pasta and steak was great - definitely worth trying!

What a disappointment. Had a reservation for 7:00 p.m. Saturday, when our party of 6 arrived, the place was pretty empty, not a good sign. There was also some menu errors as we started asking questions about wine, salad, etc. (the wine one person chose was listed incorrectly on the menu, they were out of one type of lettuce, the gnocchi wasn't as described). Food was very disappointing, I had the Chicken Risotto, as did two others, it had no flavor, reminded me of instant rice with cream of chicken soup. Two others had the Penne Bolognese and said the flavor of the meat was terrible. Service was adequate, not great and not terrible. This was my first time dining here, but I will definately not return.

Always my favourite place for pasta. When it first opened couple years ago, their Vongole was my favourite. The sauce was perfect and the clam were so delicious. However, they changed their menu later and this item is gone. The waiter told me that I can still order it, hoever, it doesn't tatse the same since then. I suspected that they had changed their chef. Anyway, this is still a cool hang out place after work, the staff are well trained and professional.

User review by shannonbean. The casually elegant ambiance is perfect, the food is always excellent, the subtle changes to the menu for each season are interesting and innovative without being too obscure or outrageous, and even if you manage to find fault with the cuisine, the waitstaff and employees are the absolute MODELS of good service. Wonderful!

A classy restaurant offering rustic Italian favorites, a winning wine list and an inviting outdoor patio.. In Short
Located in the Rivermark Village development, this attractive restaurant with colorful glazed tiles, darkly stained wood furnishings and a courtyard dotted with olive trees is a welcome addition to the heavily trafficked "Golden Triangle" area of Silicon Valley. The menu features artfully prepared Italian staples such as hearth-fired pizzas, house-made pastas, panini sandwiches and seasonal salads. There's also a full-service bar that features a wine list with more than 90 Italian and American wines.
