My husband had the etouffe (sp?) which he loved and I can't even remember what I had, it was that good. May consider going again, maybe the fusion just doesn't work for me. Deserves a second chance. Hey, at least they're open late.
I've had better. the decor is nice and the music was right on point. the service was a little slow but they were nice. the food was not the best I ever had nor the best in the bay area, it is decent, my wife however thought that the smell just made her sick. My mom eat a few bites and decided that was it. wife said that the mushrooms tasted like washing detergent. It is truly fusion but don't know if I'm ready for this new style.
Nice atmosphere, good food, okay service..
The place is really nice. The walls are covered in plaster in many colors, and the table settings are very cool. The lighting is moody. It feels like a date or dinner party kind of place.
The food was good. It is definitely new orleans style food. We were looking for soul food, so it wasn't what we wanted, but it was good. The fried catfish is wanting in spices. The crawfish wontons are FANTASTIC!
The service was lacking. The guy who served us, spoke so softly that I kept having to ask him to repeat. He didn't ever offer us drinks and we had to keep asking for water refills. The food took a really long time to come out. There was a lady there who wasn't dressed like a waitress, so I am assuming she is management. She was great and kept coming back to make sure that the waiter hadn't messed up, which he had each time.
Will definitely give it another chance. Just don't bring your kids.
