Best Senior Assisted Living in an Elderly Board &Care Home. My brother and sister and I found this place after mom was put in a skilled nursing home to recover from her fall. Mom said she never wanted to go in a nursing home, but she can't take care of herself any more and we all have jobs and families of our own. Well, mom just loves this place, and one of the caregivers seems to have adopted her so much that sometimes I'm almost jealous. I'm just glad they told us about this place at the nursing home, because it really is one of the best small assisted living places I know of. We looked at some and they just seemed so dark (and some smelled). Mom has been here for over a year now, and I thought they might raise the rent but so far they haven't. If you're looking for a wonderful senior board and care home in San Jose, California then this is the best place I know of!

Cozy San Jose Assisted Living / Elderly Board and Care Home. I like this place because they have a real family atmosphere. Mom has slowed down, and they are on San Jose, CA assisted living place that gives elders extra TLC and we appreciate that. The owners bring a small dog over occasionally and Mom likes to give the dog people food. The caregivers make real tasty food (one staff likes to watch the food channel for new recipes). I like that they have three caregivers for six residents, so they really take good of Mom, especially getting Mom to walk with all of her problems. I looked at a lot of board and care homes, and this was the best one I found! Mom is probably going on hospice because her health is declining after three years there. She has very mild dementia and short-term memory loss but she's lived a good life.
