VERY EXPENSIVE - $145 to open a file cabinet - he gave me the price as he was opening the cabinet. 30 seconds of work. I understand the skill set has value - but that is more than a wall street lawyer, even with the drive time. CALL SOMEWHERE ELSE and GET UP FRONT PRICING!!!

WOW!!! I was locked out of my house at one am, probably drop. WOW!!! I was locked out of my house at one am, probably dropped my keys somewhere. Called this locksmith company and talked to a very nice dispatcher. I know all the stories of bad experiences, but this one was great. The guy was there in 15 min and after explaining to me what he was going to do he opened my door in a very reasonable price. I recommend this company for everyone. Really the best!!!!

A client was locked out of his home and called me for help. He accidentally tripped his own alarm and was locked outside his house. His alarm company told him he had to get into the house within an hour or else they couldn't stop the police from having to stop by to see what the problem was (incurring a penalty for false alarm!).

My usual locksmith was out of town for Christmas vacation, so I found First Bay Locksmith on Yelp, saw Ben's excellent reviews, and quickly called him.

Ben got to my client's house within 10 minutes, and he saved my client and the day.

Afterwards, my client called us and raved about Ben's timeliness, professionalism, expertise, and amazing rates!

Super affordable and excellent customer service. Highly recommended. I even look better for finding First Bay Locksmith.

We'll use him again for sure.

Just plain horrible. Looking at the name it looks like a locksmith business based in Los Altos. Don't be fooled - these guys are dispatchers. You call them and they quote you a misleading

price like $25 for the service call and then $45 for picking the lock. But that's the beginning. These dispatchers know almost nothing about locks and the locksmith skills.

I called them because our lock would not open even though we had the key. It was a Smart Key based lock. They gave the same $25+$45 quote. After that I started getting call from multiple real locksmiths. I only asked the first caller to come and declined others.

The locksmith guy shows up, looks at the lock, and says $25 for the service call and $140 for drilling because he cannot pick the lock! Get that folks - $140 for doing a 2-minute drill. Wow!! I refused. After talking to multiple people, the guy agreed to do it for $60.

Now I wonder about all these 5-start ratings they have got from multiple people.

Be careful... I am actually never going to trust anyone on Citisearch. Go Yelp!! (I don't work for Yelp. I wish I did, they just went IPO :)

I am giving 2 stars because they did send someone to my house.

Los Altos City Locksmith Service. The wife got locked out of the apt while I was out of the country, and this guy came to the rescue, so I owe him at least this positive review. Nice job buddy! thanks
