quiet, cozy, gorgeous, all you could want in a fancy hotel, but with tropical surroundings and unique restaurants.
I loved the pork chop dinner and also the prawn appetizer at Trader Vic's, which is right on the property.
The french fries and burger at the restaurant by the pool are the best I've ever had.Try it with mozzarella cheese and grilled onions!
Stanford University is nearby.
My room was cozy and with design that you don't find in "chain" hotels. The ponds and fountains and lush garden areas to walk through reminded me of resorts in Hawaii, although on a much smaller scale. All of the staff I encountered were extraordinarily friendly and made me feel comfortable.
(I'm sold.)

very pleasant surprise.
This place was a real find. Beautiful room. Neat grounds. Impeccably maintained. Super friendly staff all the way around. An a reasonable price. Internet access was free and ample accessible parking with beautiful heated pools. Price was reasonable. Attached cafe by the pool served a wonderful breakfast with super friendly staff.

Really bad service..
Recently I brought my son to Dinahs breakfast. He ordered an omlette with his favorite five ingredients. When his omlette came out, it had only three ingredients inside. He was hungry and started eating it, but I asked him to wait a moment. By the time the waitress came by with the missing (chopped) ingredients, he was already almost finished with his omlette.
The worst part is, our bill had already been prepared, but the waitress went back and used white-out (on a green check) over the bill, raising the price of the omlette by the the two ingredients she had left off, and entering a new sub-total, tax and total. This was a lot of extra work, just to charge us for two non-meat ingedients they had left out, and then brought out after we needed them.

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors.
Waterfalls and gardens abound in this hotel with two pools and restaurants; rooms equipped with Internet, cable TV and 500-thread-count sheets.
