This Subway Ripped Me Off!!!. I bought the sandwich of the day combo. It is advertised on the window as $2.99. The guy at the counter rang it up for $5.30. When I asked why it cost more the guy explained that there is an extra charge for "toasting the bead." Since I do not speak Spanish I did not expect that I would get much more by way of explanation. I guess I will be going to the Subway down the street for now on...

Worst managed Subway I have ever been to. Subway is my favorite fast food joint and I always try to find one for lunch no matter where I am. The El Camino Real Subway in Mountain View, however, has horrible management. I went there for lunch yesterday and ordered a small chicken sandwich on honey oat bread. The man helping me gave me Wheat bread instead, hoping that I wouldn't notice. I decided to let this one slide and proceeded to the cash register so I could get out of there ASAP. There weren't any soda cups on the counter and the cashier had to go into the back room to get one for me. She then charged me for both a small and a large soda even though I had only ordered one small soda. The price seemed more than usual so I asked for a receipt. The cashier had to go get her manager and spent about 3 or 4 minutes figuring out how to print a receipt because their register didn't automatically print one. When I finally received the receipt it clearing showed me being over-charged. I brought it to the lady's attention and she went to go find her manager again.

I showed the manager my receipt and explained that I had been charged for a large soda that I hadn't purchased. She then asked me how much money I had given the cashier (even though it was clearly written on the receipt) and I told her $7.79. She didn't seem to understand and repeated her question. I told her $7.79 again and she said, "No, how much did you give before receiving change." I told her eight dollars even though it was clearly shown on the receipt. She got out her calculator and started punching numbers as the line of people behind me continued to get longer. Finally, she reached into the cash register and pulled out 75 cents. I took the money, looked back at the receipt which showed I had been over-charged $1.49 (the price of a large soda) and showed her that I hadn't been fully reimbursed. She pointed to her calculator to show me the "0.75" on it's screen. I gave up after that... It wasn't worth waisting more time.
