Billing and Insurance Handling

Hi,

I am HMO member of CMG. Their billing and insurance handling is kind of the worst in my all expereince. I found them expensive also as compred to other medical providers. Also, they do not provide you the invoice items or procedures beforehand they are going to bill your insurance company and/or you for a certain procedure. As an HMO member, PCP office is expected to take care of covered and non covered items but their managed care department says that this is not their job and members are solely responsible for the non covered services and items.

$325 for free physical

I visited Camino Medical Group in 2005 for a free physical exam. I confirmed with my provider and Camino Medical Group. However, because of the way Camino Medical Group filed the visit I have been getting $325 bill. Camino Medical group has refused to work with me and has recently sent the bill to a collection agency. I would say this is my worst medical visit experience. Use them at your own risk.
