Avoid this place and your stomach will THANK YOU .... I would like to share with you my expirience so you do not waste your money on this restaurant.

My ''mission " was to get some nice ''lunch to go'' for me and my husband .

When I showed up there to pick up the food , I heard the host (or owner) arguing with the cook (yelling at him with abusive launguage ) which was a sign. It was not a relaxing spot for a lunch time and I noticed a couple people eating over there . Why the guy had to be so verbally abusive towards his coworker and yell at him instead of doing it in a confidential or more respectfull maner ?

Anyways food was not so fresh and we did not fell well after eating it .

Rice was very oily and sticky .

Soup tasted like a'' sweaty sock ''had been added( very acidy and not fresh ).There was no balance in taste - everything icluding vegatables was very much acidy and very greasy .

The fish was marginal and the best thing but lacked anything special .

Good quality Thai food and reasonably priced!. I was looking for some Thai food the other day, and if you have ever been down Castro Street in Downtown Mountain View, then you have come to right spot! There are ample ethnic restaurants at your fingertips from a variety of cuisines. Bangkok Spoon happens to be one of those restaurants that I will gladly return to. I initially went during the lunch hour and it was actually quite busy--but not to the point where you could not find seating or that it was too noisy. I approached the counter area and told the server that I was looking to place an order for take-out, and if she had any recommendations. She then asked if I had a preference of spicy or sweet. This assisted with my ordering since I do not eat Thai food regularly. The service was efficient and I received my food very promptly. The server even recommended I try the Thai iced tea which was superb. Overall, the service was helpful, the food was very fresh and prepared well--tasty and not over powered by the sauce it was bathed in! I would definitely come back again for a more traditional sit-down style dinner, as the ambience seemed pleasant and welcoming.
