Pleasantly Surprised!! Good Eats, Friendly Service. Went to lunch with co-workers to Mario's - a fast paced, noisy, boring-exterior restaurant - I expected little but was very pleasantly surprised. The dining area is clean, bright and cheerful. The wait staff is friendly, attentive & accommodating - in spite of the fast pace. I ordered water with no ice & extra lemon, pasta with extra gravy, salad with dressing on the side and NO PARMIGIAN CHEESE PLEASE. The waitress never missed a beat. My colleagues eat at Mario's once a week as part of their ethnic-dining lunchtime routine. Upside - good variety menu, yummy flat bread they call pizza-bread, tasty pasta served nice and hot, fresh salad (not the bagged stuff), generous portion, friendly staff, good value and pound cake. Downside - not easy to find, noisy, no designated waiting area, wait staff scurry around - that's about it. Next time I'm having the chicken marsala!
