Beautiful Microbrewery. Yes it's trendy, but why is that a bad thing?

This stylish bar has the best overall beer of any brewpub in the Silicon Valley and the food is excellent.

My only complaint are the menu is too short and the prices slightly high.

Trendy and not much else.. The hostess was rude and wouldn't let us even see a dessert menu unless we were seated first. We left, but decided to give it another chance after hearing how bad the bands sounded at the other resturants and bars on the street. We ordered a cocktail and a beer.

They only have 4 beer choices and were out of one kind. My cocktail was watered down and taseted terrible.

Our waitress was impatient and rude. I asked if there were any desserts without nuts (because of allergies) and she reccomended one. When it arrived it was covered in nuts. I had just told her that I was allergic! She acted surprised and reccomended another dessert. I looked on the menu for the one she had suggested... it was almond cake.

We paid our bill and left very dissapointed. Obviously I won't be back, nor do I reccomend this place.

A great place to start your weekend pub crawl of Murphy Avenue.. The Food and Brews
Brewmaster Bob Stoddard (formerly of the Tied House) is responsible for the classic English-style pale ale, the rich, ruby-colored extra special bitter, and the chocolatey porter (all of which have won impressive awards). Executive chef Rudy Granados presides over a California bistro-style menu. Not too many brewpubs boast venison carpaccio, muscovy duck and buffalo empanadas, pizza pesto, or a marinated skirt steak with mushroom leek sauce.

The Scene
The crowd is lively and young, spread out into the intimate upstairs dining room, the beer garden out back, or along the long wooden bar.

Great food but service needs improvement. The food is awesome and is not much more expensive than most other American restaurants. However, the staff seems to be quite arrogant at times.
