Wine selection was great and reasonably price definitely will be going back. Highly recommend it for large groups.
Avoid. Came in with my wife for her birthday. Place looks amazing truly a beautiful restuarnt, but THATS ALL. We went to the bar first and the bartender had a attitude problem, whatever we got past that. When we sat down we orederd wine and the waitress brought the wrong one out and opended it and wouldnt exchange it. When we oreder our food it was cold. we waited 15 mins for the waitress to come back to get us somthing else and when she came she said sorry but there is nothing wrong. I left a 100 dollar bill on the table and walked out. There are a few good restuarants on Murphy, and this isnt one
Extremely Average, Boderline Bad. The restaurant being absolutely dead on a Saturday night should have been our first clue. My chicken was so overcooked that I needed to order another bottle of wine just to choke it down. The waiter was courteous and offered us free dessert - sorbet - that wasn't really sorbet. The bar is nice. From here on out, it's only drinks at Tarragon for me.
Great Restaurant!.
This is such a fabulous place! The food is tasty, well prepared and has great presentation. My personal favorite is the pork chop w/garlic mashed potatoes, they are to die for! I just tried their creme brulee for the first time the other night and it was one of the best I have ever had. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the staff is friendly and helpful and the bartenders are the best in the business!
I would highly recommend giving this place a try.
Best of Murphy.
I love this place. You walk inside and you feel like you are in a different world.
Service is great. My favorite I keep going back is for the moist chicken. My husband loves the pork chop.
My daughter loves the salmon:) Great Value
lunch menu everything is under $10.00
With a '40s supper-club feel to it, this place serves its full menu until late-night..
The Food
Tarragon purveys new California cuisine with Mediterranean and Pacific Rim influences and to accommodate the needs of revelers along Murphy Avenue, Tarragon serves the whole menu until 11pm on weeknights and until midnight on weekends. Most things from the wood-fired pizza oven and rotisserie are worth sampling, from the smoked salmon pizza to the spit-roasted chicken. Nothing is wildly inventive, but it's hard not to feel hip sipping a drink at the bar.
The Scene
A sweeping curved bar dominates the front section of the dining room and moody, directional lighting casts dramatic shadows around the long dining room and big exhibition kitchen. A small patio that fronts Murphy Avenue makes for great people watching during warmer months.
