This ain't Vietnamese food. The is packed during lunch and service suffers. It was unfortunate that taste should suffer too. Overall grade, I will give them a C-.

Went there for lunch with a group and decided to sample various dishes. We ordered an appetizer consisting of a deep fried shrimp in batter and the batter was still undercooked when biting into the shrimp. Yuck. One of us ordered a steak and it took forever for it to come out. The salad served alongside it was purely laughable. It was completely wet like they ran it through the faucet real quick and then just brought it out. There was no dressing whatsoever even though we asked for some. The steak was extremely dry and had just butter on it for a marinade I guess.

We figured since this was a Pho place, that should be good. Boy were we wrong. It was small in portion and extremely bland in taste. There was not that much meat to go along with it. And the sprouts and leaves brought out as condominet was lacking.

Prices are rather high considering the taste. If the taste was much better, we might consider it. You often have to repeat requests because they seem to get easily confused. I myself witnessed a few tables not getting what they ordered and the servers would have to return to the kitchen to check up on it. Either that or the wrong item was brought to the wrong table. I mean how incompetent are you if you do not remember your own table.

I would consider this place on par with one of those Chinese fast food places such as Mr. Chau's or Panda Express. What is sad really is that many non-Vietnamese will walk out of there thinking that was what Vietnamese food is suppose to taste like. I mean if your name is Pho Quyen and you can't get the Pho right, there is something seriously wrong.
