Editorial Review for HiFi – by Stephanie Laemoa
In Short
Velvet paintings and disco balls lend a 1950s vibe, while a stained-glass mural done in primary colors hangs over rounded silver-vinyl couches. A DJ booth looks over the central dance floor, where men in Hilfiger and women in minis dance to '80s hits, hip-hop or funk, depending on the night. A large back booth--seating up to 20--lets wallflowers gossip unseen. This is a full bar with all the standard bottled brews.

I don't know how Hi-Fi maintains such crowds but this place gets seriously packed on the weekends. I went on a Friday night and could barely get past the bar to the tiny dance floor. The music and crowd was happening but when it was THAT crowded, the stuffy/sweaty atmosphere makes it almost impossible to dance. Nevertheless, if you don't mind it like that, you can definitely have a good time at Hi-Fi (because the music mix is tight) and meet new people easily.
Pros: good music
Cons: , overcrowded bar, STUFFINESS!!
