Facts
The San Francisco Zoo manages to keep most age groups entertained with its selection of animals, and it delights younger folk with the Children's Zoo--a four-acre park of smaller animals that won't scare the kids. For more serious zoo visitors, there's the Doelger Primate Discovery Center, a home to rare and endangered monkeys, Gorilla World and the lion house.
Features
Rainbow Landing, a walk-through aviary features colorful Australian rainbow lorikeets. Visitors can feed nectar to the birds, which land on visitors' arms and shoulders to feed. Also at the zoo is Aye-Aye forest, Australian Walkabout, Koala Crossing, Gorilla World, the Feline Conservation Center, Primate Discovery Center and the Children's Zoo, which features the Insect Zoo and barnyard.

The renovations to the zoo are very good. The new Lemur exhibit is wonderful. Other parts of the zoo still need work, but overall a wonderful place to go.
