oh goodness. Please, keep looking. I have had consistenly below average experiences here. Yet, it retains a good rep. My only thought is that Palo Altans are too afraid to leave University to go to Sushi.

The fish is not fresh, and rather pungent. Maguro is one of my favorite foods in the world, and I was almost unable to finish my nigiri here. I would definitely not try anything other than fish! Take my world for it. Most recently I was taken here by my boyfriend whose friends raved on and on about it. Rather suspiciously, I went back, and got just what I had remembered. I even thought for a moment that I didn't like sushi anymore. That's just silly. I took then all to Momoya, in Mountain View, and their jaws were on the floor.

I hate to have a completely negative review, and do my best to find the good things.

The tea there is fine. Please do not go.

Best sushi that I've found so far in Palo Alto. The sushi here is absolutely phenomenal. The fish they serve here is the freshest I've had in the Palo Alto area so far and the prices are definitely reasonable. I sat at the bar and so I got to order my food straight to the chef and watch him prepare the items. Lively atmosphere and extremely friendly. The nigirizushi was made skillfully and very delicious. Prices are just slightly above average for sushi in the area but well worth the price. Restaurant itself is very small so large groups aren't recommended, but if youre looking for a great place to have an excellent dinner with a couple friends, this is a wonderful place for it.

good sushi - very fresh fish. Service can be slow but good. Fish is always very fresh and generous. The agedashi is really good so if you like tofu, try it. Their uni is onen of the best I've had so if it's one of your favorites, order it! They also have a stuffed mushroom with teriyaki sauce, quite good...

Great Fish. Great fish. What more can I say. The prices are moderate but considering how fresh and large the slices of fish are it's worth it. We have been going there for over 4 years and the owner is still the serving her customers with a smile.
