BEST FOOD EVER. The atmosphere is electric, upbeat, and friendly. The food is out of this world. They are able to offer a large variety of food but never sacrifice the taste of it. Shakes are dangerously addictive. It was also nice going in with a large group and being accomodated and not turned away. But on lunch breaks, the bar is always a nice place to get a quick bite and not take up too much room. Coconut cake is a MUST.

Great greasy spoon. For burgers, fries, and shakes, Peninsula Fountain and Grill is the best. A great place to catch up with friends on a Saturday, but definitely not the place for a quick meal. It can take a really long time to get a seat, and figuring out the check is a hassle, especially if you are splitting it. Go on an off time for better service.

Go there for the shakes. This place serves the best shakes - there are so many flavours to choose from. But they're so good that I never order anything else, so I might be missing out on other things. There isn't much selection for vegetarians so I only ever go there for dessert.

The service is friendly enough, although I do agree that they're rubbish when you first go in to get seated. Dealing with the check can take quite some time too.

Overall, I really like this place.

GREAT PLACE IF YOU LIKE BAD SERVICE!!!. I always thought that diners were suppose to be warm and friendly. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with cold stares and flat out rudeness. The guy at the door pointed to our seats. The server took ten minutes to finally come over and then, she was so cold to us I thought we were going to freeze. I ordered a milkshake and my friend a sundae. After another ten minutes, my friend got her sundae, when asked about mine, server just shrugged,and said oh well. Finally we left and plan to never return.

Best diner around. Great food. Consistently good service, and a bright clean atmosphere throwback to the fifties. Shakes are fantastic. Burgers are excellent. Sandwiches are terrific. No complaints at all.
