Also known as the Byxbee Recreation Area, the Baylands sits on 1,800 acres and includes the Yacht Harbor, the Palo Alto Airport, the Baylands Athletic Center, the Municipal Golf Course, a duck pond, a nature interpretive center, the Harriet Mundy Marsh and a sculpture and art garden. The Interpretive Center offers various programs such as nature walks, animal and fossil workshops for children, an open laboratory and displays of tideland flora and fauna.
