A sassy little market with quality and personality to spare.. Short and Sweet
This specialty store packs a pleasant punch, with many fine foods and friendly folks who know their stuff. The layout is compact, conducive to a cozy browse or a quick spin. Handwritten recipe cards suggest clever cooking ideas. Creative salads beam at you from the cold case, ready to take home or enjoy on the spot.

The Goods
Oakville offers a bounty of cheeses, sausages, cold cuts and pâtés like foie gras and pheasant. Scratch-made pastas and sauces, a modest olive bar and several kinds of caviar look inviting. A praiseworthy selection of wines and ports awaits consideration, and the freshly baked goods and desserts are very visually appealing. And of course there's an abundance of wonderful olive oils here--no self-respecting gourmet grocer would be without a good selection. The bright lime-flavored oil (perfect for fish) and the roasted garlic oil are divine.
