Hard to find, but worth the trouble.. Homma's is tucked into an alley with a really small hanging sign on the street as the only obvious indicator to passers-by of its location. If you can find it, you'll won't mind at all. The sushi is fresh and delicious. The brown rice is a wonderful change from the typical sushi fare.

The atmosphere is simple to say the least, but what they're saving on decor is definitely passed along by keeping the prices low.

I highly recommend it.

brown rice?!?!? It's great!. A unique twist that works because it is done sooo well at Brown rice. In a south bay area plagued with bizarre mayonnaise rolls and what not, Brown rice manages to deliver a menu that is clearly trendy but so good as to appeal to traditionalists. They have the formula down: spend less on the decor, more on the fish. (try the beautifully presented Chirashi-Don) Funny how often the best foods are served at back-alley shacks on plastic tables and chairs. That's brown rice. Very fresh fish, very simple atmosphere, and good prices. Healthy to boot!

Excellent Sushi. Homma's Brown Rice Sushi has great fish that is really fresh and the brown rice adds a lovely flavor and texture to the sushi dishes. Because there are only two employees, filling large orders can take a while. Don't go for the atmosphere, just the food.

Brown rice yummy!. This is sorta a "hole in the wall" restaurant, which can sometimes be the best kinds! The sushi is fresh and delicious, tastes a bit creamier because of the brown rice. They always have new specials which are outstanding. It's not the prettiest decor, but it's nice for a quick bite and the good food.
