Don't waste the cab money

To begin there are tons of better bars much closer to palo alto. This place is not worth the cab ride alone. Thursday nights are a poor excuse for Karaoke. Not to mention the bartender can't discern a real ID if it smacked him in the face. I'm not from around here, and this guy wouldn't serve me b/c he didn't recognize the (very much legal) drivers license.

I know the bartender has the right to refuse service to anyone all to well, I am a licensed bartender. What's embarrassing is that as a bartender the guy can't recognize a real ID and treats his patrons as if they were all ignorant.

Great Friday nights...

This place is great if you don't want to deal with the fake, hip-hop, gangster wannabe vibe that Downtown Palo Alto offers. It's a relaxed and chill place with great reggae playing every Friday night. The dance floor is tiny but the music and thepeople make up for the squeeze. Party all night Friday and then go there in the morning for some bomb breakfast and a bloody mary while watching a game on one of their many tv's.

• Pros: Great bartenders, potent drinks, chill atmosphere
• Cons: Ummmm, Ummmm, NONE
