In Short
Lee's has a smart way of doing business. Its obvious cash cow is whatever the latest kiddie trend happens to be (e.g., Pokemon or Magic). However, by making a killing selling to these kids, Lee's is able to provide serious and loyal comic-book fanatics with the more arcane stuff that holds their interest. Lee's has at least a little bit of everything: game cards, T-shirts, anime videos, posters, statues, pewter figurines, and of course comic books.

Most of the comic book stores I've ever been in have been tiny, cramped, and just floor-to-ceiling ratty cardboard boxes. Lee's surprised me -- it's a very spacious space, with plenty of room to walk around. I haven't bought any back issues, so I don't know how the prices compare, but they always have a great stock of current issues, and a good selection of more esoteric collectibles. They also provide a subscription service (where they'll automatically order and reserve comics for you on a monthly basis) but I haven't taken advantage of it to know how well they handle it. The parking lot does get quite busy, but as long as you're willing to walk through the lot, you can almost always find plenty of spaces away from the 'front row'. PROS: Lots of space, great selection, subscription service CONS: Crowded parking lot... Dangerous for the wallet.

Not just kids stuff anymore. I was looking for comics translated in spanish, like archie and other familiar non-hero type. unfortuneately, they couldn't help me. But, it was a kind of initimdating for the casual looker. conveniently located b/ costco and pet club and office max. and Goldilocks, (yum filipino food).

Lee's is quite the experience. You can spoil the kids (or your signficant other) with the $0.25 comics on sale outside the store. In the back, they've got $1 specials. Big ticket items (including old, old Supermans) can be found as well. Parents, be advised: it is virtually impossible to set foot in this store with your kids and leave empty-handed.
