Don't buy 1st Generation iPod Nano Batteries here. I brought We Fix Macs my 1st generation iPod nano to replace the battery. Took them an hour to replace the battery. It cost about $65 but then I was listening to my tunes again. However, after 4 months the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I hadn't used my iPod for about 2 weeks prior. I called them and they said their battery warranty was 90 days but they were willing to replace the battery. They indicated the problem was that I had to constantly keeping using and charging my iPod or this would happen. Well, that may be the case with their batteries. But I'd gotten the battery replaced on my kid's 1st gen iPod nano from iPodjuice about the same time. That iPod nano has been sitting around since Xmas since she got an iPod Touch. The battery in that iPod nano was depleted when I checked it, but it took a charge and is holding it. At iPodjuice it costs 1/2 of what We Fix Macs charge and they guarantee their batteries for 10 years. So I'm sending my iPod into iPodjuice instead of taking We Fix Macs up on their offer to replace the battery for free. I should have gotten the first battery from iPodjuice in the first place.

Watch out. Watch out for the very small fine print - all sales final like a store going out of business. I bought an iPod battery kit, but wanted to return it because I decided to get a new one instead. I can understand "all sales final" for some clearance items, but this is an unprofessional policy applied to all items. I will never shop here again!

They hook it up!. These guys are great, I brought in my powerbook titanium for a hard drive, and ram upgrade.. Their turn-around time was no more than 2 days. Amazingly fast!

They even offered to install the latest operating system free of charge, as long as I purchased the RAM, as incentive to keep this machine operational for as long as possible, and to keep the repair cost-efficient.

Now my powerbook will be compatible with my new iPod! Thanks We Fix Macs!

Jerkorama. Unpleasant and snooty people in PA, who have no idea when they will be receiving new inventory. Could be this month, but maybe not. I need a PRAM battery, and I wanted to buy local (quickly) instead of over the internet (slow or $$$ for shipping). They made me regret that decision. I fix Macs and I write Macintosh software for a living. But I do not treat you like sht. Buy elsewhere if you can.

Apple Gurus. I know enough tech stuff to be dangerous and i know ZEEE-ROW about Mac's. I got a G4 powerbook for my wife; which she loves but to run some of her older design programs she needed OS-9 and was getting a little OCD about it. After trying everything from getting boot disc to talking to the Apple-Not so genius bar. The staff at WFM Palo Alto store was able to help her with OS 9 and her programs.

I highly recommend these guys.

Better than Apple. I've had several very good experiences with the staff here. The most recent had to do with an iMac G5 which died on me. They spent a fair bit of time (on a busy day no less) determining that it would be covered by an extended Apple warranty. They then tracked down an Apple store in the area that had an open appointment which fit my schedule, and made the appointment for me. Note that there was no charge to me from We Fix Macs. In a previous visit they fixed a switch in an eMac, again at no cost. I've also had positive experiences where I actually had to pay for something. These guys are great. They treat you the way you might expect that Apple should, but doesn't always.

Great place to take your mac to get fix. I recently had my macbook pro fix by we fix macs. I accidently dropped it and it cracked the screen. I took it to apple in palo alto and they where giving me a really high price and it was going to take like 2 weeks. I was about to just walk away with my broken computer then the genius was nice enough to tell me that there are always other alternatives. He recommended me to take my computer to we fix macs. Well i did and that was a great referral. The tall young guy there was so helpful. He immediately made some calls to try to find out if he had the part in stock, which he didn't but confirmed that he can order it and can have my computer back within 2-5 days. Well at exactly 4 days, i got my computer back and i was up and running again. Not only did they get it done in a reasonable time i also got it done for a little bit more than half the price of what it would cost me from apple. If any one ever wants to take there mac to we fix macs for any reason, i do recommend this computer shop and if you get a chance visit that tall skinny guy with the hat. i think his name is Andrew.

Good Service, Better Prices than Apple Store. I needed my screen replaced on my MacBook Pro, and - knowing that the Apple Store has the highest prices around for support - checked out We Fix Macs. Friendly staff and quick turnaround with competitive prices. And while I was there, I picked up an extra battery for my laptop, again at a good discount compared to purchasing at the Apple Store or on their website.

You May save a little money but you will be entering the black hole of forgotten things. When you are at the store you get the best service, after they have your computer you can forget about it.

Nobody knows what the f---- is going on.

I would suggest that you pay the extra and let Apple fix your problem.

If you are taking your computer to the store front you will get excellent service, if it leaves and ends up at the warehouse, your computer has entered the black hole of lost things.

When you call in and ask about things expect to be on hold for long periods of time. They will tell you what you want to hear to get you off the phone, then a few weeks later you will have to call again.

I have never seen anything like place in a long time.

Good Luck to all who dare go there.

I WAS AMAZED BY MY EXPERIENCE. This is my Very First Citysearch post ever.

Let me tell you about my experience. I walked in and was immediately greeted, my hands were full with a 20" iMac G5, one of the sales-people had briefly put a customer on hold, to help me lift my machine onto the counter, I was impressed by that.

My machine was getting no video, one of the sales associates, Greg Gantt, Immediatly recognized that this machine fell under an apple repair extension program; took the time to look up the covorage via the serial number, Never pressured me to make a sale, Layed out the options for me, and gave me the information I needed to have, to get my machine resurrected, at little or no cost. AND they even offered to carry the machine back out to my car for me, recognizing that I was struggling a little bit. I am only 5'4" and very petite.

Their Customer Service is absolutely phenomenal. Very friendly.

I was so thankful that they could give me the material I needed to get my machine up and running again; and So impressed with the customer service, that I felt compelled to buy Greg a bottle of wine.

They are Definitely 5 Stars in my book.

If it weren't for this store, I would never have a reason to join citysearch.
