It's an OK place! Workable for a date(but overpriced a tad), or bringing guests too, or a family ...nice atmosphere, better than average food and portion size(took home plenty in our "doggies bags" and the food held up well over the next few days). Also, a well-varied food selection (great tasty salad) and solid presentation. Service was friendly, but a bit slow (Friday night and the joint was full, so that can be forgiven). Over-all, I had a nice time with a nice gal and this place didn't do my "first date" with her any harm! Except, to my wallet! It seemed that all the others there were having a good time and a nice meal too! I'd give it a "thumbs up" to anyone except those on a budget like me. But, I couldn't "skimp" on a "first date"...right girls? Scott D.("Scooter2Putt")

i have to say 3 years ago this place used to be good, but now the food and the service has gone downhill. i went in last night 9/24/07 and ended up staying there for close to an hour because it took the server 10 minutes to come to our table and ask us what we wanted for drinks and it took hi 20 minutes to get our check. he was the only server that i saw on the floor. There were only around 6 tables, and 3 tables were paying, and 1 eating. i do not understand how it takes 20 minutes to bring out a check, let alone 10 before we can even order our drinks. good restaurants know to greet their customers and get drinks started within 5 minutes of beng seated. the food was nothing special. The spaghetti was good but the lasagna was hard and costed $15 for the dish which is not worth it in my opinion. Im not sure if i will come back to this place considering the fact that the management should know how to schedule more than 1 server. Stop being cheap and provide the service that the customers deserve!!!
Pros: good coke?
Cons: prices, service, food, management

This is the sweetest place in town. It looks like a real place in Italy when you walk in. The food in excellent and the staff is very nice. I always love going here because it is nevver super crowded, it is dark with candles and you feel like your all alone with your special someone. It is also a great family place since it is so big inside and spread out you can bring the kids. I have had many things on the menu and every single thing I have had has been yummy. The fried calamari appetizer is huge and melts in your mouth. GO GO GO if your hungry and want to beat the regualar suckers at the mall or on blossom hill waiting an hour to get into chilis. And oh yeah the prices are reasonable.
Pros: food, lighting, size and wine
Cons: your too full when you leave OUCH!

This place has been here forever, according to our neighbors. We have just moved here from the east and were unsure about 'California Italian'. This restaurant is different from all the trendy Cal-Ital (as we call them) places around town. It is the real Italian food we were raised on. The ambiance is old-world Italian restaurant - just like home! Really busy on weekends, We also ate here mid-week and got a table no problem. The menu is huge, making it a little hard to decide what to eat. I had Chicken Parmigiana once and the special Chicken Ceasar (not a salad, some sort of sauce w/brandy) and it was FABULOUS! My husband had lasagna the first time, and then a chicken dish with artichokes and prawns. He loved them both. The prices are right where they should be. You could order a $12.00 pasta or a $20 Cioppino. It's pretty casual inside. There were people in jeans, and others were dressed up. I mention laughs, because we enjoyed a Dean Martin impersonator the Saturday night we were there. He was great. Everyone was having a great time - even the servers got into the act a little. Everyone was hysterical. It gave us a feeling of a real family kind of place. I wish I had saved room for dessert. I ate way too much bread and too much fried Calamari and the servings here are huge! My husband had a cannoli. I didn't think it would be a good idea.... the last place we went had frozen cannoli. This one was REAL - homemade, fresh, crispy cookie, rich cheese... the way they are supposed to taste. I recommend trying this place. It is larger inside than it looks, and everything was wonderful. Including lunch the next day! It's different than one of those chains in the mall. Easy to get to and easy to park too. Friendly friendly friendly!
Pros: Friendly, Easy parking, Tons of choices
Cons: Suggest calling ahead for table

Tried it for a Sunday lunch. Place was not crowded. Service was prompt. Pastas were good. Alfredo Fettucine was not too creamy. Dessert was good. Good value for money. Service was prompt.

My bowling league had a wounderful party at DiCiccos! When we arrived everything was set up and ready for us. They were kind enough to make up a special menu for us with our league name across the top. Everyone was very impressed. The meatball sandwich is always a the best. And the bread, to die for. I highly reccomend if you are planning a function to look to DiCiccos for all of your party needs.

Highly NOT recommended. Our experience was so bad with their manager that I signed up for citysearch just to write this review. We had a large party of 12 for a birthday dinner. We get the bill and there's a cutting fee for cake of $4 per person which we weren't notified of (so $48 plus tax total). When we try to reason with the manager, she proceeds to disrespect our party saying "When you go to a real restaurant you have a cutting fee, This isn't Chilis or Chevys, I have to pay people to wash the dishes..." All in all, average food plus terrible service = GARBAGE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE unless you're rich and don't mind all the extra fees piled over you (They charge an extra $5 for sharing, and they charge you for occupying a seat and not buying something).
Pros: the accordian player was great, great bread too
Cons: manager, food is too rich

The new ownership leaves something to be desired. For eating in, the price and quality are good, though, as stated, the service is the worst I have EVER recieved. For take out, the trays are a bit pricey and the service is slow. If they state a time when the food will be ready, it should be ready. I ended up waiting (twice) about 10 minutes each time, and not because the restaurant was busy...the food was just not yet ready. Overall, if they decide to treat you well, I'm sure it would be an enjoyable experience, but it was always negative...I must have been feeling masochistic since it took me a few experiences to figure things out. I don't know the owners or staff in any way, this is not meant to be malicious but I cannot in all honesty give this restaurant a positive review. Even though the food is good, I refuse to support the business due to shabby treatment.
Pros: Food
Cons: Service, Parking

What a fun restaurant! We have driven by for years, and with all the new advertising everywhere, we were thrilled we finally tried it! The new owners are celebrating a year of ownership and they had a full house! The owners are the host and hostess and greet you with big smiles. While the wife was hugging other guests as they arrived, he was pouring wine for guests who were waiting for a table. Talk about feeling welcomed! The food was fabulous... try the fried calamari, tender and tasty! Our group of 4 enjoyed 4 different entrees and we all passed them around the table trying each others! One of the diners at our table asked for something that wasn't even on the menu and the chef did it for her! Everything was served incredibly hot and was really flavorful. As the wife seated us, she told us to leave room for dessert and I'm glad I did! Try the fresh fruit and sorbet (an Italian name of...?) 4 different flavors. It was a nice finish to a very large meal! They have a great wine list... and the prices are really reasonable. They have a lot of local wines and Napa wines, but also a lot of Italian wines and they were very helpful helping us choose something new and good. Give them a try, I think you'll like the family, the charm, the service is great, the food is great, and it was just a nice refreshing change to so many Italian chain restaurants. Be aware that when the restaurant is full it can get loud (we were there on Saturday night) but we thought that added to the festivities of the night. The staff was having fun, the owners were walking around chatting, making sure our dinner was good, that the wine was to our liking and that we had the special dessert she recommended. We felt pampered and appreciated. They thanked us for joining them, like we had been to their home! Check it out!

I've been going to DiCiccos for over 20 years. New owners Rick and Allison have revitalized the menu, and have dramatically improved the quality of the food and service at DiCiccos. The focus is clearly on the food...high quality ingredients excellently prepared, and presented in appealing ways is emphasized. Generous portions have most diners taking a "doggy bag" home for the next day. Specialities of the house include Eggplant parmesean, with ample slices of eggplant that are NOT overpowered by the breading and sauce. The pasta combination is incredible! Ample portions of Lasagna, Spaghetti, and Ravioli, topped with either an Italian Sausage or a large Meatball. A wide variety of veal dishes, pasta dishes, pizza, steak, risotto, chicken, etc. A large menu with something for every taste. Be sure not to miss the homemade Canolli for dessert. Truly outstanding! DiCiccos is definitely worth your time. Give this established restaurant a try and let the new owners show you how good the food can be!! I recently took a group of 40 people there for dinner. Always a test of the restaurant's service, we had an outstanding time. All dinners were served in less than 10 minutes, and each one was prepared to the diner's choice. Every steak was cooked as ordered, and unlike most restaurants, the salads were all individually prepared at the time of order, and not "premade" for service later. If you choose the soup, they have a hearty minestrone that is outstanding, and they serve New England Clam Chowder on days other than Friday!! If you order soup, you'll be pleasantly surprised to see a bowl show up vs that tiny cup that most places serve. Everything down to the salad dressings and croutons was great. Fresh, flavorful ingredients....the compliments were flowing from every person. Not an easy task when you have a large group of discriminating diners!!
Pros: Food, Service, Attitude
