Best ribs in town. Best ribs in town, I've been to 4-5 other bbq places in town and I think Sam's has the best in the valley. I always head here when I have a business lunch.

Don't miss Wednesdays at Sam's!. Every once in a while a "scene" comes into being, a place and time you know will get stuck in your head and heart as "the good old days". Well, go to Sam's Barbecue on any Wednesday Night and experience that great feeling again. SIDESADDLE, a beloved 30-year-institution in the international world of Bluegrass Music, plays at Sam's every Wednesday from 6 to 9 pm to a house filled with a wonderful and welcoming group of fans from every walk of life who would never cross paths except for SIDESADDLE'S great music, the down-home barbecue, and the friends that make both. This audience, restaurant staff, and band interact with palpable warmth and sincerity.

A few years back, "O, Brother, where art thou" brought Bluegrass to the foreground. SIDESADDLE'S mainstays have played music in the living room with many of the musicians who made the "O, Brother" soundtrack so powerful. This band glows with the patina that only 30 years of playing and singing 3 and 4-part harmony can create. One picker thinks it and the other picker plays the third.

Nothing goes better with Bluegrass than Barbecue, and don't let my praise for the music play down the lip-smackin'-finger-lickin' juicy-licious barbecue at Sam's, which they generously pile on your plate along with excellent classic barbecue "sides".

You can't beat Wednesdays at Sams.

Marginal - Especially Brisket. Took my father in law from LA and he said the brisket was the "toughest meat" he's had in a while. We've had BBQ from Memphis, Kansas City, Oakland and North Carolina and this is just marginal. The pulled pork sandwich was ok, but the sides were not great. No creamed spinach either (I think its mandatory at a BBQ place). Prices are slightly high. Locals go here because Armadillo Willy's is the only other option. If you want start a restaurant, Silicon Valley really lacks real BBQ - there's a real market for GREAT BBQ here.

Best Ribs in Town. Fall off the bone mouth watering ribs! Excellent homemade chili. If you haven't been to Sam's your missing out! You may have to wait in line a bit especially on the weekends but that's always a sign of good BBQ!!! Don't forget the generous slice of homemade apple pie!!!!

Great BBQ, can't get better anywhere else. If you are looking for a good BBQ place this place is it! This restaurant has it all, Ribs, Steak, or meat filled sandwiches. Not to mention that the BBQ sauce is absolutely the best in town. A1 sauce that they give out at most other BBQ places does not even compare to how good Sam's BBQ sauce is like. Price is about average, but not bad at all. If you ever get the chance to visit Sam's BBQ on Bascom I truly recommend it, because I know you won't regret it.

Can't Get Tender BBQ Brisket at Sam's!. Great chili, good ribs, great beef stew. But, if you are looking for tender BBQ Brisket, stay clear to avoid sure disappointment. Their brisket is tough enough to use for work boots. I have no idea who they are paying off to get so many good reviews from the media. The food is average at best and not worth going out of your way to visit.

Great Ribs!. The unassuming exterior of this restaurant does nothing to advertise to the outside world the great food offered inside. Sam's has great ribs covered in their own bar-b-que sauce. They also offer a pretty good selection of other foods which you can eat in or take out. I suggest taking it to go because the inside of the restaurant feels like an old Denny's that has been turned into an old roadside truck stop on the highway. But if you do dine in, for some reason this place is never really busy so there are always tables available.

more for less. This is probably one the best kept secrets in town I have been in the food and beverage industry for many years and this is one of the few places I'd dare to say is the one of the best. Not only the food is good, they have live music, a good variaty of beers, GREAT BBQ and the prices are very affordable.

you don;t have to go to San Francisco, try Sam's once and you will be back for more.

This down-home joint charms diners with barbecue slathered in Sam's special sauce and a Western ambience.. In Short
You'll feel like you're in the Wild West when you enter this saloon-themed restaurant with wood-paneled walls and red tablecloths. Keep a stack of napkins handy for the grub, especially when digging into a tender full rack of baby back ribs, marinated for 24 hours in Sam's signature tangy barbecue sauce. A bowl of mildly spicy chili makes a nice side dish, and a flaky slice of fresh apple pie is a sweet closer.
