If you have kids todder to 1- there is no better park!. What a beautiful place. We started going on their first year of completion. It was BRAND NEW and beautiful. They have struggled a bit (poor location) but it still remains one of our favorite amusement parks for younsters.

An amusement park has sprouted up in Gilroy. The question is will it flower?. The Appeal
California's latest theme park certainly isn't a Mickey Mouse affair. After 23 years of planning, former grocery store mogul Michael Bonfante gave himself the ultimate 60th birthday present with the opening of Bonfante Gardens Theme Park. The massive 75-acre horticulturally inspired wonderland celebrates the arboreal splendors of the world. The numbers are staggering: Bonfante Gardens features 10,000 trees and nearly a half million plants throughout the park. "Circus trees"--74 trees that have been skillfully manipulated (grafted, pruned, trained, etc.) to grow in utterly unbelievable shapes. Stroll by waterfalls and ponds to see the five intriguing gardens focusing on subtropicals, annuals, edibles, camellias and the favorites of Mr. Bonfante's wife.

Features
Both the thrill-seeker and the roller-coaster novice will find the appropriate ride at Bonfante. The attractions draw on the agricultural roots of the area with names such as the Garlic Twirl (Gilroy), Artichoke Dip (Castroville) and Mushroom Swing (Morgan Hill).

Afternoon Delight. Lush, dramatic, gardens, misty waterfalls, and cool thrill rides for all ages kept sparkling clean . . . what more could a family want? The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. The food is tasty and portions are ample. This is truly the best in family entertainment in or near the Silicon Valley. Best of all, this is a not-for-profit park operating under a 503C. Your entry ticket ultimately supports the community. The drought in wholesome, exciting and entertaining family fun is finally over!
