Perfectly relaxing
by elcavagnolo
Tova Yaron is the ONLY day spa I visit in the Silicon Valley. From relaxing massages to skin-clearing facials, Tova Yaron exceeds my expectations every time. As a long time customer (over 2 years) to both the Westgate and Fairmont locations, I highly recommend these spas. The experienced therapists are professional, attentive, and offer the best pampering in the area.
- Pros: CLEAN! Gorgeous setting in the Fairmont-- amazing sheets on the massage tables; experienced therapists; microdermabrasion services; hot poultice massages
- Cons: Parking at the Fairmont can be tricky, but they're working on getting validated parking.
Best place for massage
by marrie
My sister and I went to Tova for a massage and facial. It was amazing! The staff was very professional and the spa itself is very elegant . I was a little late but the massage therapist still gave me the entire length of my massage. I heard Tova opened another spa at the Fairmont hotel and read in the paper that some celebrities have already been there--but I suspect it's more pricey than the Westgate location.
- Pros: lots of parking, professional staff, beautiful spa, evening appointments
Terrible Business Skills - No PR Cababilities

I agree it was my fault to wait so long to inform Tova I won't be able to make it but Tova handled the situation very badly.
My mom and I had facial appts for 2:45pm. A night before, my mom pulled a muscle on her back. We hoped the pain would get better but it didn't. We realized we couldn't wait any longer so I called Tova to inform them. As expected, they were not happy.
At first, the receptionist said they would have to charge me for both appts because it was just half hour before. Obviously she did not know they did not have my credit card #. My intention was not to get into an argument so I hoped they would stir away from that option.
After consulting with the manager, I was told my mom wouldn't be charged, but I still would. I explained to them that I could not leave my mom by herself and come for my facial but that was disregarded. So at that point, I told them they did not have my credit card number so charging me would not be possible.
To my surprise, I was told in that case, a note would be put on my account that would BAN me from coming to their spa in the future. That's what really shocked me. For them to say that to new customers was a total put off and completely unnecessary. It was clearly a warning to not go to this spa. I replied saying that if Tova was ok with losing new customers with that attitude, it was fine with me.
I have never been banned from going to a spa because I wasn't able to make my appointment. Tova needs to work on their customer service and behavior big time.
- Pros: Didn't even get a chance to experience any
- Cons: No sense of how to attract new customers
Worst experience of my life.

I received a gift certificate for services at this salon, and despite the fact that I read horrible reviews I decided to be optimistic. Never again. To start off, the receptionist was obviously not a people person. She made no effort to make me feel welcome. I was told to wait in a room and someone would be with me. The room was small and uninviting. There were three magazines to read, and a bowl of old apples. I waited for about 10 minutes and than my therapist came in. She did not introduce herself and it was difficult to understand what she was saying because English was not her primary language. I was led to a room where I would be receiving a detox wrap. I had to leave my clothing and purse on the floor in the corner because there was no where to put it. The treatment itself was horrible. It was a seaweed/mint wrap of some sort. There was very little body prep except for the application of a slimming gel. The wrap was extremely uncomfortable as the entire time I was freezing. The mint in the wrap causes a cold sensation when air hits the body. My therapist did not wrap me well, so the entire 20 minutes I was supposed to be relaxing I was frigid cold. When she unwrapped me I was left in thebuff in a freezing cold room for about 2 minutes so that she could ready the shower. When that was done, I was left to towel dry and she than returned to apply some sort of cheap lotion. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I left feeling worse than when I entered. I will NEVER EVER return again, and strongly urge anyone thinking to visit this salon NOT TO!!!
- Pros: NONE.
- Cons: EVERYTHING.
Not Impressed
by notdakine
After reading all the reviews, my girlfriend and I wanted to try it for ourselves so we booked a facial and a massage. Both she and I were disappointed with both experiences. The facial felt amateurish in the way she handled my face. After massaging my ear lobes for what felt like half an hour, she left "white stuff" in my ear. She did not massage my temples or shoulders. Granted she probably knew I was getting a massage thereafter, but if the description says "shoulder and neck massage", she should have obliged.
The facility was nice but bathroom was a little dirty. They offered snacks but there was only one apple and an orange in the fruit bowl. There were plenty of parking for it is located inside a mall.
Perhaps those who have had a great experince had a "better" person. I may give it another try but not anytime soon...
- Pros: Plenty of parking
- Cons: Inexperience facialist
terrible service

Not worth the effort of going there. Owners are fake and from what I saw they not only are this way with their customers but also with their employees. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Located in a sprawling mall, this spa and full-service salon transcends its surroundings.

Good waxing experience!
by wsmithh
To all girls looking for a good waxing, read below:
I have been going to Linda's at Tova Day Spa for over a year now to get waxing. She is the best at what she does. She is QUICK and thorough, and tries her best to minimize the pain as much as possible. She listens to what you want and as much as I dread getting waxed I always know that I'm in good hands. If you are looking for a good person to get Brazilian bikini, eyebrows or any other type of waxing, Linda IS your gal! Trust me!
Raya at Tova Yaron is a healing goddess of massage
by ahmandi2
I went to Tova Yaron after a touch and go experience with another spa in the bay area. Tova intrigued me by its name and I decided to take a chance on them. I called on saturday afternoon at 2:45 and waas invited for a 3:30 appt. I was on time, as were they. I met Raya and knew I was in the right place. She is the BEST I have ever experienced. Usually after a half an hour I begin to look forward to the end of the massage and getting out and doing life again. I almost cried this time when my 60 minutes were up. Her hands were amazing and found my problem areas without any poking or prodding...somehow she just KNEW. Contrary to some other people's experiences here, no one attempted to upsell me at all...I met Tova (I assume it was her) and she didnt run to me and tell me all the things I need done...I love this place...I cannot speak for any other staff members but the front desk woman, tova, and Raya were all remarkable. I will be going back as soon as I can. A+++
- Pros: Bliss. Serenity. Feeling like a happy puddle. :)
- Cons: Tiny bit more pricey than what i paid at last spa...but worth EVERY PENNY
Yeah Right!

Choas, from the ordeal of making this appointment down to the actual event. Shuffle, Shuffle, Shuffle. My self went with a few girl friends for a pre-bachelorette to do, and at first they stated their facility could accomodate us then as we got their and complete shuffle and twisting. I don't understand, if you can't handle a few people at once tell us and save spare us of our good time and headaches! Top it off the facial was NOT UP TO PAR! Location was nice but even on of the staff was complaining to my gals about her job, CAN YOU B BELIEVE?
- Pros: location
- Cons: unorganized, pushy, upsales
