Not what I expected!!.
Happy St. Patrick's Day?? After having called and being told a Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner would be worth the $13.00 price, and would be larger than a competitor across the street because "We know
what we are doing", I took the ride over.
The wait was 30 minutes, but I'm patient. The price was $13.50, more than I was told. The portions did not look very large to me - oh well.
Then I went across the street. For $9 I received twice the meal and did not wait at all.
I called Fibbar's and the reaction I got indicated to me that the manager I spoke to could not have cared less that I was not satisfied. I shall not visit them again and I will advise others not to go as well.
The only reason they got the one star rating is that something is required.…
The place on a Murphy pub crawl where you'll feel like a big shot..
The Scene
The long main room is broken into several intimate zones, including one with an old-fashioned hearth, an area with tall candlelit tables, a bright bar, a low stage and dance
floor, darts room and a patio. The walls are decorated with tasteful Irish knickknacks--a bit contrived, but attractive. The crowd is evenly split between men and women, and it's easy to meet new people.
The Draw
A lot of effort has been taken to make Fibbar's feel comfortable, upscale and classy. The bar is popular with a post-collegiate crowd who appreciate the affordable appetizers, live '80s hits on weekend evenings, ultra-speedy bar service and strong $6 mixed drinks. Monday nights during football season feature food and drink specials and (grainy) big-screen surround sound. The roomy smokers' patio is furnished with tables and heat lamps, making it one of the best spots on Murphy to indulge a nic fit.…
