New Menu, Good Price
by ShiftyB at Citysearch
This place is always great. God food, friendly service. We loved the old menu, but the newer items a nice change up. Our favs, the green beans and the chicken "salty Bongos". We have tried the one at Oakridge, but prefer the Campbell Pruneyard location staff. They are always friendly and attentive.
Great Service

Great service!
I don't like Italian food too much but this hit the spot.
Had chianti braised short ribs and chicken carbonara.
Get cozy with friends and family and enjoy an Italian feast at this loved-by-locals restaurant.

In Short
Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon Appetito!
Authentic Family Style Italian Food In One Word "Fantastico"!
by treasureislands at Citysearch
I have dined at Buca di Beppo in Campbell, CA on many occasions. If I had to give a one word description it would have to be "Fantastico"! Buca di Beppo is an authentic Italian Restaurant with a family twist. All of the dishes at BdB are served Family style on platters for 2 or more, and/or 4 or more (they now offer single servings of Buca favorites). This means all of you're family and/or friends can share several different dishes in whatever size portions that they prefer. If it looks like you are getting low on a favorite dish, just order another platter, (the Eggplant Parmigiana and the Salmon with Pesto are to die for) the staff at BdB will have another dish whipped up before you can say "Quattro Al Forno" (their favorite baked pastas). If you like great service, a colorful energized atmosphere, and really good food, surprise your family and friends with a trip to Buca di Beppo's!
- Pros: Family Style Platters, Energized Atmosphere, Good Food
- Cons: Notfor An Intimate Date
Loud - good for parties

Definitely not a date spot, but awesome for large groups. The food was good. The Chicken marsala was excellent. I came with my family, and I was a bit shocked by some of the pictures on the walls. But everything fit well with the atmosphere they were trying to portray. I'd come here again.
Just not for me
by mholzworth at Citysearch
The food was extremely bland and none of us that went in our group were impressed. We did not even take home the left overs. Many friends of mine love this place, but I fail to see the appeal. The waitress that we had was FABULOUS though and it was one of the best waitresses I have ever encountered.
Not Worth Your Money

If you're looking for a place for a large group and to be loud and fun then this place is for you (If money is no object or you're going dutch treat). Otherwise avoind it like the plague!!! Overprived and poor quality food.
Fun Family Place

My family of 5 and relatives ate at Buca for my birthday. The family style dinner was fun and the service was good. Our server made suggestions from the menu that ended up perfect for us. We will be back since Buca is great for large and loud dinner parties.

I've been to lots of Italian restaurants and this is no different from the average chain such as Olive Garden!! Like any other chain, it does not give you REAL italian food. Pictures on the walls do not compensate for the bad italian food. I am surprised to see this is rated highly in Silicon Valley when in metropolitan areas such as NY, Los Angeles, Bucca does not make the cut. Though it is easy on the wallet, it is not worth the $$$. Save your "Lira" and the wait for some other great Italian eats!
Four Woofs!

This place is great!
First (and most important) the food is great. I've enjoyed mega-meatballs, chicken cacciatore, aka 7 pounds of love, foccacia with tomatoes and lasagne. My favorite is the chicken cacciatore with mashed potatoes. The sauce is lightly spiced and the mashed potatoes remind me of my childhood..mmmm good.
Wander around the place while you wait for your table. Cover the kids eyes when you spot the picture with the two elephants!
The bottom line is this. I can take my parents there and they don't complain. Wow, I wish I found this place before I was forty, imagine the good times we could have had there!
Oh yeah, treat yourself to a meal served at the kitchen table. They treat you like you own the place.
- Pros: Sharing Big Portions, Menu on the Wall, Consistent Quality
- Cons: Small Waiting Area, One Pope Room
