They do not follow their own policies. They do not have guaranteed service. I showed up 15 minutes early for my treatments as they requested and my provider did not come in to work. The offered me a discount for partial services later that day and some the next day OR return the next day for all services for the same discount. I went back the next day and met with resistance to the discounted price they had offered me the day before. I finally got the discounted price for my inconvenience. They got upset when I returned some products. I scheduled another service to use the credit from the returned products and later had to cancel. Well, they did not honor their cancellation procedure. They got upset and told me that I should find another spa, which I did. And, they were less than pleasant.

I have a real problem with situations where strangers are touching me. My boyfriend bought me a gift certificate for a deep-tissue massage as a Christmas gift, it took me a year to make the appointment, but I went. The moment I walked in, I felt comfortable. I was offered any beverage I could think of, and was totally at ease. When the therapist came out, she asked me a few questions, and I explained that I was very nervous about a deep-tissue massage and my pain threshold was very very small. She explained that I could try a different massage and recommended the total body massage. I have never been more relaxed in my life. The therapist was very concerned about my comfort, including the soft music playing, to the pressure she was using. I was so very impressed and immediately made another appointment. Though I'm sure I could find another therapist/spa with lower prices, it was worth every penny. The atmosphere, the service, the massage itself. They made a life-time customer out of me.
Pros: Customer Service, Ambience, Massage, Care
Cons: Prices are a little steep

Pavia is by far the best run spa I've been to, and I've been around the spa block a few times. The staff provide exceptional service and the "menu" of services is updated frequently enough so that the latest service techniques are offered. Before booking any services I had a tour of the spa and asked the owner many questions. I wanted to know about cleanliness, qualifications of staff, turnover of staff, that type of thing. I can be pretty picky. I've had many of the different types of massages and just had a deep tissue massage, which resulted in release of pain in my foot I've had for three months (even saw a podiatrist and had it x-rayed). The facials are fantastic, and I would highly recommend a pedicture there. I've also tried the soul therapy services (such as Reiki) and the sound therapy (which is called accupuncture without the needles). Not everyone will like every service at every business, and I have had this experience at other spas, but I am sold on Pavia. You can get some of the services cheaper elsewhere, and I have--I've also found I got what I paid for.

I booked a Deep Tissue massage and had a terrible experience – the therapist decided to change the treatment without telling me (i.e. the client who booked and paid for a Deep Tissue massage) anything. I kept waiting and waiting for her to do deep tissue work, and it never happened. I had also asked her to work specifically on my neck, shoulders, and lower back and she spent half the massage rubbing my arms and legs. When I told the owner afterwards, she said she’d talk to the therapist and get back to me, but she still took the full payment, which I thought was very tacky. She later emailed me saying that the therapist had changed the treatment because I had told her I was on my period – I only told her because she asked me to remove all my clothing. I wish the therapist had said something to ME, I am a trained therapist myself and have had plenty on deep tissue massages during my period with no problem. The owner never did explain why the therapist spent so much time on arms and legs when I had asked her to work on specific body parts. She offered me a $50 credit, which means I have to go back in and spend more money (the treatments are pricey) in order to be compensated for my bad experience. Also, noticed two of the glowing reviews were the same, word for word. Posted by rmm816 - recently visited Pavia Day spa for a deep tissue massage. As soon as I walked in I was met with warmth and friendliness for the staff and offered a refreshment. The ambiance is very cozy and elegant. The rooms are simple and clean and very relaxing. The massage was excellent and I've already booked my next massage. Posted by aloralake - I recently visited Pavia Day spa for a deep tissue massage. I visited the area on business last week, and Pavia was recommended to me by an associate as a relaxing break from my hectic travel schedule. They could not have been more right!!! The service is outstanding, and accommodations are second to none. Thank you for squeezing me in, also, during a busy weekend. I'll be back!
Pros: Amenities beyond belief
Cons: NONE!

Pavia is pure bliss...European style. The staff is warm, friendly and professional. Thre is no sales hassle. Forget that it is in a strip mall. You won't notice it once you are inside. It is a perfect place to de-stress and feel rejuvinated. The water with green tea added is delightful. It consts a bit more than the competitors but it is worth it. I highly recommend it.
Pros: Professional, Friendly, Relaxing
Cons: Strip Mall, A bit expensive

Although it is in a strip mall once you are inside you wouldn't even know it. It as a very calm and serene atmosphere. They have great service from the receptionist to those that give the treatments. You feel appreciated and welcomed. Their massages are great since you lay on warm pads so you free nice and cozy without getting hot. I recieved my first facial their and I really loved it and my husband even thought I glowed! And they recommend some products really only after I expressed interest but I never felt presure to purchase. Also try the water with Green Tea Extract really yummy! Different from most spas they also offer tarot readings and Terry was very friendly and really precise on her readings. I can't wait to go back!
Pros: Great Atmosphere, Friendly Service
