After being referred to Dr. Chu about 8 yrs ago I will never go to another Dentist. I live in the Santa Cruz area and I will willing make the drive to see her. Throughout my 8 years of working the Dr. Chu I find that she is the most compassionate and understanding dentist that I have ever had the opportunity to deal with. She deals deals with the issues with you as a patient, explains everything that should be done after the intial exam and then with your persmission proceeds. Appointments are very easy to obtain and very flexible to meet you very busy schedule. Her staff are very attentive and make sure that your experience is as pleasureable as possible. She will make sure that when you going through some potentially traumatic dental procedures that you are as pain free as possible. I know from experience that when I was having an extreme tooth ache, when called she made sure that I had perscriptions to alleviate the pain to to prescribe antibotics to alleviate any infection and this was done at 11:00 pm on a Saturday Night. On top of that she actually called me the next morning to ensure that I was ok. After this incident an appointment was made on the fly and the issue was taken care of. I don't how many dentists or physicans that would do this in this day and age. Dr. Chu is a caring, compassionate and extremely good dentist. She is always up on the latest in dentistry and has never tried to upsell or recommend any service that was not needed. She always makes sure that you are comfortable and pain free. I recommend her highly for the following: A very accomplished Dentist that is current with all dental practices and procedures A very wonderful staff Nice clean and centrally located offices Flexible appointments at both offices if need be Just caring for you as a patient Finally, I am a difficult patient, but Dr. Chu and her staff have managed to deal with me and for that I am forever grateful. j. smith

I am just getting ready for the dentist this morning and I thought I would write this. I had moved to the Bay Area 10 years ago and stumbled upon Chloe's practice within a month. It was very different to go to this practice. Dr. Chu was personable and her staff acted like I could leave at any time and go down the road to another dentist; very good attitude and atmosphere. Watch out though! I had moved to another state for a little while and felt uncomfortable going to other dentists. They lack the small business charm of this place. This office sets a high standard for its welcoming atmosphere. When I returned to the Bay Area, I immediately resumed going to Pacific Bay Dental. Dr. Chu's service is very good, she always takes time to explain treatments clearly, including the pros and cons. Her staff then explains the costs of each alternative If I say "no," then I am respected with no pressure. But usually, I say yes ;-) A cheerful person, Dr. Chu's work is very good and she always gives a felling she is a friend trying to help out. This is a very charming office I recommend to anyone, including family.

Straight away when I walked into Dr. Chu's office, I was amazed that her staff really knew the patients, not just their names and dental background (which they could recall with accuracy). They really care about the patients and their families. The environment in the office is cheerful and lively. Dr. Chu is very accomodating to help her patients relax. The staff really bend over backwards to help patients with insurance disputes, questions about their treatment plan, dental hygiene, and balances. Patients even stop by when they're not getting treated just to say hello! If that's not evidence of the friendly, comfortable, personal service they advertise on their business cards, I don't know what is! Plus, not only is the environment welcoming, Dr. Chu really knows her practice. I know she still takes dental classes to help her stay up-to-date on the latest techniques. So many of her patients keep coming back year after year (some for over 5 years!). Their satisfaction is proof of her quality dentistry.

Dr. Chloe Chu has been my dentist for the last two years. I have never had a dentist so caring, professional and FUN! On my first appointment at Pacific Bay Dental, Dr. Chu took the time to address the important matters of healthy gums and teeth. I was even given the opportunity to look at my own x-rays on her computer screen, where she showed me what I needed to have treated and why. Dr. Chu takes the time to get to know each of her patients history and background and always makes me feel welcome for every appointment. I would highly recommend Dr. Chloe Chu to anyone who is looking for a skilled and experienced dentist!!
