Would NOT recommend this place!
by funtoeat
Horrible place to eat. Service was really slow, server had a bad attitude. No manager was seen on duty during my hour and a half stay! Food was great! Service was BAD!
We'll never go back
Don't keep this secret

Park Place is well kept secret. It is tucked away inside the Cypress Hotel in Cupertino, but don't let that stop you . Although parking is hard to find at times, it's well worth it. Service is spotty, but the managment is always there to correct problems. I would reccomend eating at the bar, they have a seperate menu with lower priced items and happy hour priceing.
- Pros: Friendly staff, good food
- Cons: Hard to park, loud in bar
Horrible Experience!
by jeninabean
We went on Valentines Day and what a let down! Luckily we love each other enough to make the most of the night. Our whole experience lasted a dragging 2+ hours. The waitress was short, cold and clumsy. We had five or six different servers. The food took forever (about 20 minutes between each course). And the food was marginal at best. To top it off the watiress stuck us with a 18% gratuity for only the two of us. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! We've had better service at Taco Bell!
Not a typical" hotel restaurant"
by axelby
This is not a typical " hotel" restaurant. This place is great. The service is friendly and attentive and the food is well prepared. With not many options in Cupertino, we figuered we would give it a try, and we were glad we did. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. If you are looking for something to eat in Cupertino check this place out.
- Pros: Great food and service.
- Cons: Hard to find
Terrible Dining
by ArlanDo2
The service was extremely slow, servers changed between cocktails and appetizers. The Chicken Signature dish was awful (lst order was undercooked, 2nd was tasteless). My 2nd server removed the cost of my entree from by bill, but the overall price and value of what we did eat was very below average. The chef and kitchen staff definitely need some help in food preparation. Fortunately I was visiting from out of town and won't ever return, but if you are local you certainly could find something better for the price.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Service, Food, and Value
We had such a great dining experience
by cjoehawaii
The entire evening was great. We sat outside and were brought a wonderful sparkling Italian wine and a basket of focaccia and french bread with an herb butter. The brought out a complimentary thai salad that was delicious. The crab cake was fresh and flavorful. We had an excellent swordfish with an olive tepenade, perfectly cooked and still juicy. We also had the scallops which was perfectly cooked and still very tender. It was light and flavorful.
The service was absolutely great. They definitely paid attention to details like keeping the table clean and refilling our drinks.
The restaurant was beautiful and we enjoyed our table outside.
- Pros: Great food and service
- Cons: Pricy, but worth it
standard hotel food - not great
by clieu
The ambiance was nice and the waitstaff was able and friendly, but the food wasn't very exciting. The menu choices were limited and pricey, and the food was acceptable, but for the prices, you could do better. Unlike the previous reviewers, I *would* definitely take the extra drive to Palo Alto or Santana Row for my next fine dining experience.
Much improved

This restaurant is great for romantic and special occasions. There is ample parking, and the service is great.
Pleasant Surprise
by pinkflower
We were pleasantly surprised by Park Place (formerly Helios), as there aren't many great restaurant options in Cupertino. Once inside, the ambiance is casual elegant (which doesn't come across on their Web site); the restaurant seems to draw a younger, twenty and thirty-something crowd. The food and service were great, and we would definitely come back again for a good dinner in a different location.
A splashy, global brasserie pleases picky palates in a trendy, Mediterranean boutique hotel.

The Scene
Located in front of the Cypress Hotel, the restaurant's Mediterranean decor makes it a hip hangout for locals, tech travelers and the occasional celebrity. Sunny colors, modern fixtures and geometric accents create a warm and fun environment. Service is quick and the staff is ready to make menu recommendations.
The Food
The international menu caters to a wide variety of palates, with dishes cleanly presented and for the most part, well-executed. Horseradish cream softens the lightly salted house-cured salmon and crispy potato cake appetizer. While the seafood paella is brightened by touches of basil and vibrant yellow saffron rice, the nontraditional brothy consistency takes away from the bounty of shrimp, clams, mussels and chorizo sausage. However, a sweet, juicy, baked peach complements the thick, tender grilled pork chops smothered in sweet, ruby port sauce that complements, but never overwhelms the dish. Candied pecans sweeten warm, freshly baked banana bread pudding.
