Fahrenheit / Hip Crowd

The crowd was hip and sophisticated the nights I was there. Food was awesome! Tried the Karaoke Tuesday Night and it was packed. Excellent food and presentation!
- Pros: Hip Crowd, Bartenders & Servers
HORRIBLE SERVICE

The food was great but service was awful. I actually have one of those certificates from a website and as soon as the server saw that I have a certificate she made a face. The server looks really fake and not sincere at all. They should hire better waitresses or servers. But the food is great. My husband enjoyed his steak and my plate was okay.
worst place ever!

I went there for my birthday having made reservations in advanced, I got there about 5 minutes late and the girl at the front started giving us attitude, I had reserved for 6 but only 4 of us were there and would not sit us until everyone was there! she didnt even want to give us a table and offered the bar area at the upper level, I should of left but instead got a smaller table and just wanted to eat, the food and drinks were waaaaayyyyyyy over priced and not even that good, it was way too dark in there and I just wanted to get out of there still hungry and bummed for having chosen them to spend my b-day it sucked!!!!!!!!!!!

My best friend had her birthday at Fahrenheit Ultra Lounge. The place is very nice and upscale. We were at the VIP area and we were treated very well. The music was good that night and we had lots of fun. They also served tasty appetizers with our drinks.
it was okay but it attracts the older crowd

I would have to say this place is very nice on the inside. Its a bit small but the lighting and atmosphere is good. Im not to thrilled about the music that they play there. I love motif better. This place attracts the older crowd. It was okay but it wouldnt be my first choice to go.

I have been here once recently and it is a very nice place to relax after work. It is a bit pricey so be prepared for that but it does make a great meeting spot
Overpriced and Overrated.

The bartenders at Fahrenheit are by far the WORST and SNOBBIEST in downtown San Jose.
My girlfriends and I were ready to spend a night out dining and drinking and dancing. Instead of visiting our usual favorite haunts, we thought we'd up the ante and check out Fahrenheit.
I'd listened to some mixed reviews from other people, but I thought I'd try it out for myself!!
Let me be the first to encourage anyone planning on going to Fahrenheit: SAVE YOUR MONEY and enjoy an evening out elsewhere!!
First of all, it took us 20 minutes in a ridiculously short line to get in. The hostess was incredibly rude and walked away from us to deal with something else TWICE! Once we were inside, we headed straight to the bar where we waited another 30 minutes to ORDER our drinks. The bartender was unfriendly [that should have been obvious when he walked by us a few times before even stopping to get our order] and looked at me like I was an absolute moron when I asked for a bottled water. I politely explained that I was the designated driver and he just rolled his eyes and walked away.
Forget trying to find somewhere to sit. And dancing? Forget about it.....there's not enough room to do either. The only redeeming quality is that it's close enough to other, more respectable establishments that are actually fun and happy to have your business.
For a fairly new lounge, the employees seem to be under the impression that they're established enough to snub people at their own discretion.
If I never return to Fahrenheit again, it will still be too soon.
- Pros: Proximity to OTHER San Jose nightlife venues.
- Cons: Snobby and expensive.
Friday nights are great!

Had a blast here this past Friday night. Came with a birthday group for some appetizers and drinks. Average price and the food was much better than what I would have expected. Had the tuna tartare and mandalay wraps. Both pretty delicious. They had 3 DJ's that night a dinner guy who spun some lounge music and then as it got later the other 2 played more of the typical dance tunes. Great variety of music and I enjoyed the remixes. Really good looking diverse crowd. 5 star experience for me and my friends and we will definitely be back.
- Pros: Good food, Great music, Awesome crowd
- Cons: San Jose shuts down at 2am.
Pale in comparison

? pale when compared to other downtown restaurants.
? 1. Completely lifeless waitress: no smile; no eye contact
? 2. Out of stock on beer: We had to take third choice. Bar manager WUWT?
? 3. Food took 37 min to reach table.
? 4. Pan seared scallops were small and mushy. What a rip.
? 5. Asparagus steak rolls were over-cooked and too salty for all four of us.
? 6. ?garlic mashed potatoes? were nothing but mounds of flavorless starch.
Obviously, management and staff don't really care.

Intimate restaurant and lounge draws a crowd with an eclectic music mix and a full menu of Asian-fused cuisine.
