Good coffee too. And acceptable for wife. And even has high-chairs for kids...
You can catch the Millers there about every other weekend.
- Pros: Tasty food, outdoor seating, great staff
- Cons: None
Bad Food and Bad Hospiltality
by dandanhlj
On 3.27 I took my wife to this place. The night manager was joking with his buddies getting them appetizers after appetizers probably making the chef late with other customers. This guy was annoying.... The meal was over an hour late and when it finally came it was plain and tasteless...A big disappointment!!!!
- Cons: Dinner was over an hour late
Great food, no fuss

It is nice to find a great place with none of the usual trendy junk that goes along with it. Not sure what went wrong with a couple of the other reviews, but I've been here several times, always had great food, quality ingredients and great service. All the meals my family has had have been good, my favorite is the cassoulet.
I also enjoy the local bistro feel of Twist. Yes it is on the smaller side, but as a change of pace it is nice to go to a small place, run by a small business owner, who values his customers and treats regulars as friends.
- Pros: Food, service
- Cons: Can be loud if busy
Not as good as other ratings would lead you to believe.....

I was not impressed. The service was average. Our waiter either had too many tables, or was just poor at multitasking. He also had poor recommendations from the limited wine list. The food was ok, but not good enough to warrant a return trip.
The best French dining in the South Bay!

What a gem! Where else can you get fabulous, authentic French food and at bargin prices?
This Bay Area secret is wonderful!. I could eat there every day!
Started with the Caesar Salad with 2 huge & tasty grilled prawns. Whoa! The fresh, hot french bread melts in your mouth.Warning: the loaf goes quickly! I had a perfect Duck ala Orange and my partner had the Pork Chop that was flavorful & cooked perfectly.
FYI, lunch is served casual/cafe style (also very good) but dinner is more formal and served next door. Thank you Chef for your talent and humble kindness that makes this a delghtful place to dine. Bravo!!!!!
- Pros: Everything is cooked erfectly
- Cons: Small dining area and can get noisy
Great customer service

I have eaten at Twist Cafe and Twist Bistro several times since they have opened and have had great meals. I have tried just about every dish and am always completely satisfied.
Great food! Keep it up!
Overpriced food, Zero hositality

My husband and I ate there in October. When we arrived, we were told that they could not accomodate us inside and we would have to eat outside. This was in October, so it was chilly outside. Also, there was no one eating inside, nor did we see anyone eating inside for the 2 hours we were there. My husband ordered the lamb. When it arrived, it was topped with Frenchs yellow mustand, the only thing french about this is in the brands name. I felt that for $24.95, the lamb should have at least had Grey Poupon. In general, I found the food to be overpriced and the service to be pretensious.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Lack of Hospitality, overpriced.
For people who want great food without great fuss and attitude

Twist Bistro is fine dining for the casual minded. It's the kind of food you normally would associate with the need to dress up and be on your best manners for. While I'd encourage you to mind your manners anyway, you may be happy to learn that you can go as you are. The vibe at Twist Bistro is relaxed, friendly, and even boisterous at times, but don't take the casual dining ambieance as a sign of a lackidaisical kitchen. Dominique and Eileen (the owners) are both professional chefs and Dominique cut his teeth in Parisian restaurants that have been rated three and two stars by the Michelin Guide.
Just about everything I've eaten there was absolutely memorable. My favorite dish was a grilled salmon filet that was dusted in spices, lightly crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside, and full of flavor to the last bite. The Hanging Tender Steak was also excellent as was the Pork Chop Roquefort. It all goes perfect with a side of very flavorful garlic spinach.
The only thing that wasn't to my taste was the French Onion soup. There was nothing wrong with it. It actually came highly recommended by a few patrons that I chatted up there, but it was just too strong of a dish for my palate.
True to the video for Twist Bistro, you're not just paying to taste great food. You're paying a reasonable price to eat a great meal and I don't always have room for dessert, but when I do, the warm chocolate cake with warm chocolate sauce is a no-brainer.

My wife and I tried Twist after reading about it online and watching the new video. I ordered the Pork Chop Roquefort and it was outstanding! My wife had the Caesar salad and the wild Coho Salmon and highly enjoyed it and would order it again. The atmoshere was nice and I suggest making a reservation as we did not but fortunately did not have to wait long to be seated. If we arrived 30 minutes later, we would have been out of luck. The restaurant in my opinion is good for parties of 2 or 4 due to the size.
