Great food and services. Order before sit down and self-services water and coffee was confused a little. I recommended the place,

Country Gourmet is what I used to wish the Good Earth was (but it never was). Simple, good, not too greasy food in a really nice atmosphere. It's kind of strange that you order before you sit down, but the restaurant acknowledges that, and even suggests (on a little card) that if we tip, we don't tip as we would for a full service restaurant. It suggests 5 to 7%. In any case, I could get used to a little quirkiness, I think, because the food is so good, and the ambience is so nice and relaxing.
Pros: Food, atmosphere
Cons: You have to order before you sit down, right by the entrance

Come on. If you're going to work for a restaurant and post fake reviews, at least pretend to be subtle about it. Three glowing reviews, all on the same date, and the only other reviews by these posters (also on the same date) dis a competitor. Please.
Pros: So cutthroat that they'll post fake positive reviews on their place and bad reviews on competitors.
Cons: So dumb that they make it obvious.

Country Gourmet is not only a restaurant with a great staff, but when you are greeted with smiling faces, and people who remember your name, you also receive great food. I have frequented this restaurant for almost 10 years now, and will not stop until the doors are closed. If you haven't tried one of the omlets or HUGE salads, orange french toast, or any of the specials, you are missing out on great food from a great place.

Nothing special here...service was bad when we had breakfast several weeks ago and the food was ok. The atmosphere is somewhat cold and boring.
Cons: bad service, no manager on duty

I eat here for lunch or brunch, often with friends. The food is great--my favorites are the smoked chicken salad, the cold pastrami sandwich/salad combo, and all the desserts. The specials change often and are interesting, and Country Gourmet has an ambience lacking in most local restaurants.
Pros: variety, good wine list, espresso
Cons: sometimes noisy
